If you’ve been watching television in the last few weeks then you may have seen a certain festive ad, but who is Santa in the Capital One commercial?
The commercial was released at the start of November via Capital One’s YouTube channel and tells a modern story of Santa and Mrs Claus.
We see Santa skyping Samuel L. Jackson while online shopping, in which he’s taught about Capital One Shopping, a browser extension that applies coupon codes at checkouts.
The Capital One commercial ends with Santa and Mrs Claus getting up and dancing in their living room.

So, who is Santa in the Capital One commercial?
Of course with the actor in a Santa suit and full white beard and hair, the ad might have you asking “where do I recognise that voice from?” Well, it’s John Travolta, who starred alongside Samuel L. Jackson in the 1994 film Pulp Fiction.
It wouldn’t be the first time he’s dressed up to an unrecognisable point either, as he played Tracy’s mom in Hairspray in 2007.
The ending of the Capital One commercial with Santa and Mrs Claus dancing is in fact a recreation of John Travolta and Uma Thurman’s classic Pulp Fiction dancing scene. In the film they dance to Chuck Berry’s You Never Can Tell, while in the commercial he dances to Chuck Berry’s Run Run Rudolph.
Unfortunately for Pulp Fiction fans who were hoping for a cast reunion, Mrs Claus is played by actress Dana Daurey rather than Uma Thurman.
